Dear New Dad,
Becoming a new dad is an incredible, but often overwhelming experience. And although God promises us peace and comfort—“I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you” (John 14:18)—that comfort might be hard to find when your kid is screaming their head off at 3AM.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Just know that peace is still available. God doesn’t say, “it’s for everyone except new parents.” It’s there, if we seek it out.
Ask for it.
Share how you’re feeling—frustrated, tired, disconnected.
Love others.
Keep the commandments.
The promised peace is real, and will come soon.
Sincerely,
New dad
