Dear New Dad,
As a new dad, I’m constantly scanning my surroundings analyzing for any potential threats to your child’s health & well-being. You know, corners she could hit her head on, stairs she could fall off, etc.
I’m sure Joseph was the same way, but there’s no way he could know the king wanted to kill his baby—without the Holy Spirit.
In order to receive that type of revelation, Joseph must have been striving to follow & hear God. He must have been praying often, for the safety for his child. He must have been trying to help his neighbor.
He needed to live a life where revelation could freely flow, at any moment.
And it did, with a message to flee to Egypt. And when the message came, Joseph wasted no time following it as he “arose, [and] he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt.”
He wasted 0 time.
Immediate action on revelation brings more revelation.
Keep listening,
New Dad
