Hey New Dad,

In Matthew 3, Christ sets the ultimate example and gets baptized for the remission of sins (despite being perfect).

And directly after, “a voice from heaven [said] This my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”

I’m sure God’s words served as a witness to those at the Jordan River that day, assuring Jesus really was The Son of God.

But I can’t help but think how I loved (and still love) to hear words of affirmation and praise from my own earthly father.

As a kid, after doing anything, I would look to my father to see if he was “well pleased”.

Make sure your son or daughter knows you are “well pleased” today.

Regardless if they’re old enough to understand, tell them with both word and action. Today.

They need your affirmation. They need your praise.
