Dear New Dad,
If you’re like me, you feel all sorts of worries and anxieties as a new dad. Is the baby eating enough? Is the baby sleeping enough? Is the baby sick? Is the baby breathing? Is the baby alive?
The list is never ending.
And although that worry is something that served our ancient ancestors—don’t go too close to that cliff, watch our for bears, don’t eat that ivy. It doesn’t serve us as much in modern days.
As the famous Bob Marley said in “Don’t Worry Be Happy”, “Every life we have some trouble. When you worry you make it double”.
And Christ teaches us something similar here.
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
In the end, God is in charge.
He has a plan for us.
